We believe that the headhunting market is dysfunctional in many ways, but one thing has really puzzled us: The most important factor in the “process” should be the candidate. But is that really the case?
We rather got the impression that the top candidates approached may be grateful to have been approached by a generic contact through Xing/LinkedIn. Is there real interest in the candidate?
What really occupies top people, what is their “perfect” job, what factors have to be fulfilled for it to fit in the position to be filled? Where do some of them want to go? Here we want to focus on the candidate.
And how can we support the top candidates during this process? What questions move them? Who can they turn to if they need a sparring partner, if they are in a contract negotiation and are being presented with a managing director’s contract for the first time? Which further training will really help me? Who should I talk to in order to get good input for my job? And what am I missing to really be able to fill my dream job?
This is where we want to start with the Rainmaker Society. We want to be the “player’s advisor” for the great, ambitious people we already know and will get to know. And we want to help companies to fill their “risk positions” with the most suitable “difference players”.
